The Yamaha WR125R is a lightweight dual-sport motorcycle designed for riders who want freedom on every journey. Whether you’re commuting through the city or heading off-road, this bike delivers agile handling, strong performance, and real versatility.
Its 125cc liquid-cooled engine features Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). This technology boosts torque at low rpm and increases power at high revs. The result is smooth, responsive performance that suits both new and experienced riders. The engine meets EU5+ standards, thanks to dual catalysers, an O2 sensor, and an evaporative system.
The WR125R offers excellent control on any terrain. A flat seat, wide footpegs, and smooth side panels allow easy movement and weight transfer. The 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, fitted with Dunlop D605 tyres, provide grip on tarmac and trails. Fuel efficiency exceeds 40 km/L, and the 8-litre tank gives up to 320 km of range.
Braking is confident and balanced. The bike uses a 267mm front disc with ABS and a 220mm rear disc. Suspension includes a 41mm KYB front fork and a linked Monocross rear shock. This setup absorbs bumps and keeps the ride stable.
The WR125R also features a compact LCD display. Riders can connect their smartphones using Yamaha’s MyRide app. LED lighting adds visibility and style. Maintenance is simple, with an easy-access air filter and proven VVA reliability.
